About Francesca

Born in Ibiza and based in Barcelona, I’ve been writing and creating video art since I was 12.

At 15, I won the Ficcions Short Story Award in the Balearic Islands.

I studied for a year at ESCAC Film School and I’m currently completing a degree in Communication and Cultural Industries at the University of Barcelona (UB), while interning at Catalunya Film Festivals.

My goal is to become a film director, which has driven me to create two short films and collaborate in art direction and production departments to gain hands-on experience.

As an artist, I’m drawn to risky stories—the kind that sting a little. I’m fascinated by angry, unapologetic, politically incorrect female characters, and I love exploring their emotional depth. I’m also deeply interested in roots and identity; connecting my characters to where they come from is often what allows them to heal.
